Nepal - sotto il tetto del mondo

Le luci tremolanti delle candele durante la festa di Chhath, le donne con i loro sari più belli immerse nelle acque del Ganga Sagar , le campagne di Lumbini e le mie gite quotidiane fra i campi munito di una bicicletta sciancata, le sei ore di trasferimento da Bhairawa a Janakpur appollaiato, con le gambe a penzoloni, sul tetto di un autobus, la partita a scacchi giganti nel meraviglioso paesino di Bandipur e la monumentale città di Bhaktapur ingombra di messi stese ad essiccare. In Nepal il cielo è diventato il mio tetto, le montagne le custodi indifferenti del mio viaggio.


Nepal - under the roof of the world

The flickering lights of candles during the festival of Chhath, the women with their most beautiful saris immersed in the waters of Ganga Sagar, the countryside of Lumbini and my daily trips among the fields equipped with a cripple bicycle, the six hours of transfer from Bhairawa in Janakpur perched, with dangling legs, on the roof of a bus, the giant chess game in the beautiful village of Bandipur and the monumental city of Bhaktapur cluttered with crops laid out to dry.
